Airport-City-Day-Ticket

You can buy the Airport-City-Day-Ticket from the ticket machines at the airport and at most S-Bahn (urban rail) stations. First select “MVV Münchner Verkehrs- and Tarifverbund” on the screen, followed by “Airport-City-Day-Ticket”. You can also buy your ticket at the MVG ticket machines at the underground stations in Munich.

The Airport-City-Day-Ticket cannot be purchased from the ticket machines at the following stations, since they are located too close to the airport. When departing from these stations, select the destination “Flughafen” (airport).

• S-Bahn Line 1: Eching, Freising, Lohhof, Feldmoching, Neufahrn, Oberschließheim, Pulling, Unterschleißheim
• S-Bahn Line 2: Altenerding, Aufhausen, Erding, Feldkirchen, Grub, Heimstetten, Markt Schwaben, Ottenhofen, Poing, St. Koloman
• S-Bahn Line 8: Hallbergmoos, Ismaning

You can pay with coins, bank notes, a debit card or a credit card. The ticket machines at the airport and the S-Bahn stations also accept credit cards (EUROCARD/MasterCard, VISA und Diners Club).

MasterCard, VISA and American Express are accepted at the MVG ticket machines at underground stations.

If you purchase the Airport-City-Day-Ticket ticket at the airport, it is already validated from the moment of purchase. This also applies if you purchase the ticket at S-Bahn stops via DB ticket machines (however, these machines can also issue non-validated tickets on request). Therefore, it is best to buy it just before you start your journey. OnlineTickets also do not have to be validated. Tickets purchased from MVG mobile ticket machines in buses and streetcars are validated as soon as they are purchased. Only tickets from the MVG's stationary ticket machines need to be validated manually before you start your journey. You can recognize these tickets by the imprint "Hier entwerten".

The AirportPLUS-Ticket is valid until 6 am the following day.

Yes. For a single trip, you can also use a Single Ticket or a Stripe Ticket. This is particularly recommended for shorter routes (after the station at Unterschleißheim, for example).

Alternatively: the Airport-City-Day-Ticket offers the same services as an MVV Day Ticket for the zones M - 5, and at the same price, so it can be replaced by the latter if you wish.
