The Web 2 Wallet system is a new and easy way to buy tickets for public transport in Munich. You don't need an app or registration. Instead, you simply scan a QR code, select the ticket you want, enter your name and email address, pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal – and the ticket is stored directly in your smartphone's wallet.
This is particularly convenient for tourists or occasional travelers, for example at Oktoberfest, trade fairs, or at the airport. The appropriate ticket is automatically suggested, such as the Airport City Day Ticket. This saves you from having to spend a long time finding out about zones, fares, prices, or queuing at ticket machines.
